Tamil Typo creates OpenType Font files with the .otf extension. You can export one Regular font or include Light and Bold versions.
Can I preview Tamil words before exporting?

Do I have to draw every character before exporting?
No. You can export after drawing at least one character, though a more complete set makes the font more useful in everyday Tamil text.
